Personal Data Protection Law

What is the fundamental right to the protection of personal data?
This right gives each individual control over the personal information he or she chooses to share with other persons or entities. It also guarantees that such information is used appropriately, ensuring that it does not cause any harm or damage to the individual.

Personal data protection legislation in Peru
In compliance with Article 2, paragraph 6 of the Political Constitution of Peru, Law No. 29733, known as the Personal Data Protection Law (LPDP), was approved. This law establishes that the holder of the personal data is the natural person to whom the data belongs.

ARCO Rights

Access: Everyone has the right to obtain information about himself/herself that is processed in public or private administration data banks, the manner in which his/her data was collected, the reasons for its collection and at whose request the collection was made, as well as the transfers made or planned to be made of it.
Rectification (Updating, Inclusion): It is the right of the holder of personal data to have data that is partially or totally inaccurate, incomplete, erroneous or false modified.
Cancellation (Deletion): The owner of the personal data may request the deletion or cancellation of his personal data from a personal data bank when they are no longer necessary.
Opposition: Any person has the right to object, for a legitimate and well-founded reason related to a specific personal situation, to being included in a data bank or to the processing of his or her personal data, unless otherwise provided by law.

- Application for the exercise of ARCO rights (Personal Data Protection Act), duly completed and signed.

- Simple and legible copy of Identity Card.
- Simple and legible copy of the valid Special Power of Attorney. In case of representation.
- If necessary, attach documents to support your application.
